In the kingdom of Hastinapura, a rivalry brews between the Pandavas and Kauravas, cousins vying for the throne. The Pandavas, led by righteous Yudhishthira, face envy and hostility from the Kauravas, especially Duryodhana. Despite being cheated in a game of dice, the Pandavas agree to exile for twelve years and one additional year in secrecy.
During their exile, the Pandavas encounter various adventures, including Arjuna's encounter with Lord Shiva, Bhima's slaying of demons, and Yudhishthira's journey to the heavens. Meanwhile, in Hastinapura, the Kauravas conspire against the Pandavas.
Upon their return, the Pandavas demand their rightful share of the kingdom. When the Kauravas refuse, war becomes inevitable. The great Kurukshetra War ensues, with warriors from both sides battling fiercely. The battlefield witnesses remarkable feats of valor and displays of divine intervention.
The war culminates in the downfall of the Kauravas, including Duryodhana, at the hands of the Pandavas. Despite their victory, the Pandavas suffer great losses, including the death of their beloved friends and family members.
After the war, Yudhishthira is crowned king, but he is haunted by the violence and destruction of the war. Eventually, he renounces the throne and embarks on a journey towards salvation along with his brothers and Draupadi.
